The cloudLibrary app lets you access content from local libraries that you are subscribed to, through the 14 digit library pin. You can access eBooks and Audiobooks for free provided your library has registered for the service.
This app offers simple navigation features and lets you customize your reading experience. You can also sync your reading across iOS, Android or PC which is really useful if you have shared devices or if you transfer reading mobility.
The main menu panel includes the following options: Featured, Browse, My Books, Filters, and Settings. The Filter tool can be used to check out books that are immediately available, all titles or your history which is extremely helpful. Checking out the titles in list mode gives you more information on the book including author, publishing house and ISBN info. You can create notes, bookmarks, and highlight or even change background themes.
Night mode is available for users with eye problems.
If you borrow, you can see how much time is left to return the book. The Browse filter shows different book categories such as Christian, Contemporary, etc. Under Settings allows you to change any of your information such as email, your preferred library and book formats.
The app is simple to set up, and you can easily make your way around it with the intuitive interface. You may adjust your font size and margins, and access other settings on the left menu panel such as the Table of Contents, your bookmarks and even change the view mode. I like how the app keeps a history of your filter selections, so you don’t need to keep going back and search every single time again.
The iOS version requires iOS 9.0 or later, compatible with iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Android app requires at least Android 4.1 or higher.
